   Last year, my wife looked at me with the little twinkle in her eye and hinted that she wanted a little something black and chrome that would go from Zero to 300 the second she put her foot down.

   Being the generous kind of husband that I am, I got her a really nice bathroom scale.

   Please tell my wife that I miss her and that I am sorry.

   Have to agree with JManna about the perception of the sexes, but in the other direction - I refuse to believe that there is such a large group of men who actually would think that a vacuum cleaner would be a good anniversary gift.

   But funny nonetheless.

   Parts of this are genuinely funny. Unfortunately, I think diamonds are gross wastes of money and life. My fellow would’ve been better off giving me the thighmaster than diamonds.

   yeah maybe the vacuum cleaner present is a bit over the top, but i’ve definitely been in the doghouse before for other things such as staying at the pub too late, ruining the weekend cos im hung over, etc etc.

   Hey, my wife ASKED me for a vacuum cleaner for her birthday! Cost me a mint, too! Who the hell knew vacuum’s cost that much!
