So we've gone from the age of "everything must have a clock" to "everything must have a LED".

A perfect example of "If you make it, someone will be daft enough to justify it to themselves."

When water restrictions allow watering only from midnight to 10:00 a.m., I guess this could be helpful...

    msa, good call.

I could see using one of these to gather worms for fishing the following day... maybe.

Just what I need. The creepy neighbour having another reason to stand outside on the lawn watering his plants at 1 in the morning.

Watering at night is always the best time ... well, at least when the sun isn't up. So I think this is a good idea.

Many places in drought conditions have watering laws. We can't water here during (roughly) daylight hours, and there is a hotline to turn your neighbors in for breaking the law. *eyeroll*

Also, it's not good to water your plants during the day. Something about the sun's rays reflecting through the water and burning your grass and plants and such. I'm sure someone more science-oriented can explain it better.

Finally a compelling reason to become nocturnal.

I can't say I've ever met anyone who habitually watered plants after nightfall. It seems like a very small niche market.
