they were all young as well. ritchie was 17, buddy was 22, and jp "the big bopper" was 28.
even the pilot was 21.
very sad.

The article is fascinating. I had no idea that the Big Bopper, Ritchie Valens, and Buddy Holly were all killed in the same plane crash! And TBB was only 28! Crazy. I wonder if "the day the music died" is the same one referenced in the song "American Pie." I never figured that was referencing some literal event. I do find it a bit odd that they feel it necessary to dig up a coffin that's been buried half a century, move the corpse to another site, and sell the old casket. All I can say is "why?" It sounds like the family is getting financially desperate.
