2008 in viral video as per Salon.com

There are enough top “whatever” lists for 2008 out there on the net this week to keep thousands of movie critics, bloggers and just plain argumentative folks commenting well into Spring about who’s right and who’s wrong. I’m personally partial to Salon.com’s 2008 “Live! Nude! Puppies! The Year in Viral Video” list which leads off with the video above about two English men who are reunited with the lion they raised as a baby in their London flat nearly 40 years ago. Tell me you didn’t feel that!

There are more, of course, including one from that wonderful little French girl Capucine on Vimeo who stole everyone’s hearts with her story about crocodiles and hippopotamuses.

The Obamaroll or whatever it’s called. That should have been in. But they had enough videos bashing Palin so it will do.

My favourites had to have been Christian the Lion (that one still gets to me each time I see it). The Shiba Inu Puppy Cam which I ended up getting addicted to. I would wake up in the morning watch a bit of them then leave for work/classes come back and check up on them again. I even felt a little sad when I learned some of the pups were leaving to go to new homes. Now I get to watch the Puppy Bulldogs and the West Chester Shiba Inu cam as well.

I liked the lion the best. Even though I thought it was attacking the people.
