Moonlight Glowing Orb Light

By Alex in Home & Garden, Pictures on Jan 1, 2009 at 11:22 pm

Moonlights are wonderful glowing orbs (or half-orbs) that give off a gentle glow of light, just like its namesake. They are made from polyethylene spheres 13 to 30 inches (33 to about 75 cm) in diameter and can be used indoors and outdoors (or even floating in a pool).

Moonlights aren’t cheap, though – an orb can set you back anywhere from $325 to $1000 – but unlike the Moon, they are guaranteed to illuminate even if the sky is cloudy: Link – via Fortune Small Business | More pics at DVICE – via musecrack

Alex "aren’t not cheap" - Does that mean they are cheap?

Wow! I am imagining a really cool outdoor space-age wedding that could be designed with those as decoration.

We made our light spheres controllable (and smaller). Have a look at a big piece with our Wixels (wireless pixels) at http://www.blendid.nl/swarm

They sure are beautiful, and pricey because all designer ware is "art" and therefore priced accordingly.

I can see a real market for these things. Only from the pictures I see the boating industry falling for them, and also the farmers certainly will.

I purchased something similar in a clearance bin of a garden center a few years ago. It is basket ball sized and the plastic is similar to that of a ping-pong ball.
It however has to be plugged in and it has an l.e.d. light, that can stay one specific color or change softly to diff colors.

if I had the money I'd get the ones that davideo71
    posted a link to.

    Hi Kevin,
Thanks for the great post, I'm glad you like our globes. They're really unique and versatile. Home Infatuation has a great selection available and is a great company to work with.
