If you have neutral luck you will win and lose about an even amount of time. and if you have negative luck you will sometimes win but on average you will lose far more then you will win even if the odds were always 50/50. Having bad things happen to you might tend to make you tense. I know this from experience. I wasn't tense or did not consider myself unlucky until my 20s when a bad string of events started happening to me that has followed me well into my 30s. I have since then become a more tense and anxious person, because every time I start to relax and get on with my life, something major happens (I'm talking cancer, family and close friend deaths, plane crashes, those sorts of things, not minor events). Unless this author watched people from when they were young and saw whether they truly had a nervous constitution to begin with or whether unlucky events MADE them nervous, this is bogus. Luck is mainly just keeping an open mind. The man that looks down and shuffles while he stares stoicly at the ground is much less likely to meet someone interesting or see something that could be considered "lucky" than the guy that walks around with a smile on his face ready to let anything in. Although I don’t discount the possibility of people having all their needs in life however you may have all the things in life wealth, honor and luxury but still you are not lucky since you have burdens more than you can bear but even if you are poor if Good is with, you are lucky because there is a sense of peace and contentment in the heart within (something like an assurance) that cannot be explained by the mind nor has any word to describe. You will have all the things you need in due time in ways that cannot also be explained. I'm not a believer but this is what had happened out of curiosity of unbelief to test if there is God and He really exists that I started to fear. Try this simple thing "Read the Bible". If you can understand the Teachings and obey the Commandments then you are lucky, if not then change your ways and do good all the time to understand then you will be lucky in finding out the ways of success in life and the precepts to follow which are all written in the Bible. There is a saying that goes like this about understanding the Bible “none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand”. So, try to know if you wise or not to be lucky or not.
