Snail Sweater: Adorable & Cuddly

If your snails are getting too cold this winter, just get them a cute little sweater like this guy has. I can’t begin to say how strangely cute I think this is.

To keep the snails warm before you eat them? ;)

A real cute idea with a potentially fatal flaw.

Here in the UK, hedgehogs can eat slugs and snails - and as we're having quite a mild winter not all of them are hibernating quite as well as they should. They're cute, but sometimes not very bright.

I can't imagine the (admittedly rather smart)little bonnet would be especially helpful to a hungry hedgehog's digestion...

Good point, Richard, and around here, if the hedgehogs can't keep up and eat them, they get salted. I hate snails and am constantly at war.

When I see them I just want to step on them

Richard, surely a hedgehog is no more likely to eat the bonnet than it is to eat the shell?

    People keep snails as pets?

Cute but ...somebody has too much time on their hands if they are knitting sweaters for snails. :)

My daughter loves her slugs and snails...

As for the hedgehogs - that's my excuse for not tidying out the workshop at the moment - there's at least one hedgehog hibernating under the junk and it woudln't be right to disturb it.

How cruel can you get? Snails are cold blooded. You are effectively trapping in the cold and not allowing the poor thing to modulate its temperature by external sources by interfering as it normally does.

haha you all..you do realize that there's a life out there for you where you can see the goodness in things, where not everything is literal and black and white, where maybe the owners of this snail don't keep it on it all the time, and that the hat probably took someone 2 minutes to make with scraps right? I mean, it's fun..come on out.

Somehow this makes me think of a perfect world. When one cares about the safty of somthing as small as a snail.
