Ya know, I went into this article after reading the description expecting to be amused by a couple of people acting like jackasses... and I kinda did, but I also came out feeling somewhat amazed. The writing is dripping with sarcasm but it fails to put this guy out. This dude is _into_ it.

Plus, you can't really knock anyone who who makes it their sole duty to honestly try and help people even during his day job above anything else. That takes balls, delusional or not. Good for him that he's actually doing something he loves and committing his life to it. Thanks for posting this.

Something about this appeals to me in an odd way. As crazy as they seems, there's something... just neat about the idea of helping people and fighting crime. A life of adventure and knowing you're making people's lives better. Oh, sure, I'm sure it's dangerous as all hell, but you'd probably feel good at the end of the day.

If he's going faster than the truck, then wouldn't he then be going "forward" at that point? He would no longer be moving backward relative to the ground, but forward at his speed minus the truck's speed. I think...

I applaud his spirit, and his heroic efforts. It's sad that he has to live in such destitution. One thing really troubles me, though: He's considering driving a motorcycle out of the back of his truck while the truck is moving? As in the opposite direction of the one in which the truck is moving? I haven't seen this trick actually performed, so I could be wrong in my assumption, but wouldn't this turn into the last thing he ever did? Say the truck's traveling forward at a modest 40mph when he decides to deploy. Even if he could manage to accelerate the bike to 40mph before hitting the asphalt (highly unlikely), he's being carried backward already by the truck, so once he hit the ground it would be like involuntarily reaching a full stop even as he raced forward. If he were going below 40mph, he'd be flung backward; above 40mph, he'd go forward, but at his intended speed minus 40mph. In any event, I see him flying over the handlebars and wiping out, thus ending the Legend of Master Legend. Or at least costing him a leg and also paralyzing him for life.

Anyone out there with a better grasp on Newtonian physics or an appreciation for monster truck rallies who can set me straight on this?

I don't know, being as how CEOs seem to be going homeless these days, maybe the homeless are having staff infections.

I changed it by the way.

I think you mean staph infections, unless the homeless are getting infections of people on their feet.
