Snowman Snow Globe is a Firestarter!

If you have this Snowman Snow Globe from Hallmark Cards, beware! The jumbo-sized snow globe can act as a magnifying glass when exposed to sunlight and ignite nearby materials!

Ironic for a snow man to have "heat vision".

I totally have that snowman! It's a-freaking-dorable! I guess I'll just have to make sure it stays out of the sun...

Put it in the shade ... problem solved.

"The snow globe measures 11 by 12 by 17 inches."

    That's no moon... It's a snowglobe!

I'm glad I don't have one. I would have far too much fun with ants after hearing this. No, I never did grow up.

    FYI

It's the $100, (2 feet tall), one that was recalled, not the small, normal sized one, or the wobbling snowmen that look the same.

I, for one, welcome our snowman snowglobe overlords.

For safety, be sure to place this snow globe where the sun does not shine.

My parents have a vase that almost set fire to their house! They got home and found a burnt hole in the tablecloth that was smoking... lucky it didn't go up. Turns out the vase happened to be shaped so that if the sun was hitting it directly from any angle at all, it focused it into a direct beam about 15cm away from the vase.

Now they keep it in the shade.
