he head angel was meant to Benjamin Franklin. That’s why the captions/subtitles have it as Franklin speaking. Makes sense now, thanks!

@Tiny Dancer - if you don't already have it, check out the book "It's a Wonderful Life: A Scene-by-Scene Guide to the Classic Film" by Michael Willian. I got a lot of my factoids from that book - it's totally fascinating. Even if you know most of it, I bet you pick up another tidbit or two! It made me happy just reading it.

And, @Muppetmaker - weekly post? I like it. Maybe I could even solicit movie suggestions in the forms and pick my favorite every week. Alex, what say you?

Thanks, Stacy! As an unashamed BIG fan of this flick, I must admit to already knowing most of this trivia, but the ZuZu gingersnaps was brand new to me, kudos. I always just assumed little Zuzu had red hair (not sure this is used in North America, but "ginger" is a popular term for someone with red hair in Britain and Australia anyway). Any orange cat I had as a kid was named Gingermegs

I love the end of Christmastime In Hell where Jimmy Stewart says, "Merry Christmas movie house!" But I really love it when he says it in the film. That whole scene is epic.
