The Star Wars Holiday Special

Posted by Stacy in Christmas, Movies & SciFi, Video Clips on December 18, 2008 at 9:12 am

My favorite part? “With special guest star… Beatrice Arthur!” After that it’s like six minutes of Chewie’s family grunting at one another. At that point, feel free to skip to the second video, which is the part that Bea Arthur is actually in. Of course, that’s my own personal preference.

Oh man, with this we really should have been able to see Clone Wars coming from a mile away!

For those interested... some of the guys from Mystery Science 3000 recently riffed the Star Wars Holiday Special. A sample can be found here:

The only way to watch it imho... especially if you're an MST3K fan.

The Star Wars Holiday Special was the worst all-time backfire. It was a bad idea all the way around.

That old creepy wookie grandpa is just too much for me! I couldn't help but think he is a dirty dirty old wookie. *chomp!* ;)

George Lucas once said if he had all the time in the world, and a hammer he would track down every last remaining copy of this and utterly destroy it.

At least it's unintentionally funny. The (cgi) Clone wars movie had NO excuse for being as bad as it was.

Being a huge Star wars nerd, I actually have a DVD copy of this, but I refuse to buy that god awful Clone Wars flick.

No longer there... should I be disappointed or relieved?
