I showed this to my girlfriend, who is Taiwanese, and asked her what it said. She read for a few seconds, and then said “Oh, my goodness…” and started laughing

That’s what it says. It’s pretty funny to me as to how that was a poem for an institute of science. Good thing they took it out~hehe.
Most dictionaries won’t give you a “good” definition of it, but it’s pretty much an ad that both promo and recruit.

If no one there could read it what made them think it was a poem to begin with. Where did they come up with it from. Did someone just find it laying around somewhere and say hey here’s a chinese paper must be a poem let’s find someone who agrees.
