At least, that is the way that I would describe this hilarious 1954 clip from Sid Caesar's variety show, in which Caesar and an actress silently argue to the rhythm of Beethoven's Fifth Symphony. Run time: 6 minutes.

That "actress" is Nanette Fabray! Another classic comedienne from the days of Vaudeville.

Nannette Fabares is Shelly Fabares' aunt and was/is partially deaf. Unsure when that happened, making this clip more interesting. Very nice.

Count Kiranov, the 1950's aren't considered to be "the days of vaudeville", although folks like Sid Caesar certainly based a lot of their skits on vaudeville and burlesque.

Funny, creative, and artsy at the same time; man those were the days huh?
I remember seeing this a while ago on another blog and I remember reading that this was done live in one take. That's talent.
