An Interactive Guide to The Simpsons’ Springfield

By Stacy in Blogs & Internet, Everything Else on Dec 9, 2008 at 9:11 pm

This is amazing! It’s an interactive map of Springfield that a fan put together. Click anywhere on the map to zoom in – the black text represents retail stores and the pink text represents restaurants. If you hover your mouse over the green boxes, you can view a screen cap of that particular building.

I can’t imagine the time it must have taken to put this together! Even if you don’t care that much about the map itself, it’s worth it just to go through and read the clever names of some of the establishments – the Texas Cheesecake Depository cracks me up.

Wow. Reminds me of the list of pictures of Futurama buildings..which is also as impressive. And I love how Evergreen Terrace is so isolated.

If you have the Simpson’s Hit and Run game – you can drive around Springfield. There is even the special Stone Cutters tunnel to the plant. :)

    Wow, that is impressive!

I’m shedding happy tears that they included Mt. Useful Strategic Granite Reserve.

I’ve seen this before but I love it! I didn’t realize Mr. Burns’ estate is so close to Mayor Quimby’s, but it makes sense. Nice to find out where Rommelwood military academy really is (motto: A Tradition of Heritage). I love Eatie Gourmet’s, the Potholder Barn, Just Chloroform, Alternative Knifestyles. and the Turn Your Head and Coif hair salon.

Duplicates happen (heck, even I posted duplicates sometimes). It’s still neat ;)
