When I was a kid I remember liking his illustrations in Judy Blume's Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing. I hear newer editions of the book don't have them. Too bad, because they were charming and very funny.

In College (BFA) one of my profs had us do Rube Goldberg machines for our final. Turns out they aren't easy to get working. Cool drawing.

I remember Doty from his clever "Wordless Workshop" which ran in either Popular Science or Popular Mechanics". Talented cartoonist with a clean line.
