Let There Be Drums!

The Lunchtime Quiz at mental_floss is beginning a series of quizzes on well-known drumbeats.

Today’s quiz is our first entry in the Let There Be Drums series. All you have to do is listen to each of 10 drum intros to hit songs of the late 1960s, and match them with the correct song title. Easy? Maybe for some.

Not only did I score 100%, I didn’t even have to look at the song titles to know them! Link

    I got 80%, actually better than I expected even though I write for a drumming magazine!

    Wow! 100% I had no idea that “Coming to Take Me Away” was so similar to “Rainy Day Women” until this quiz. I almost got them wrong.

    I should’ve guessing #1 for all of them. Then I would have at least gotten one correct.
