Zombiefodder, just tell people the last part is symbolic to emphasize that just like this line in the haiku, “everything is wrong”.

Everyone will then go aaah your child is so profound!

I think the last line is inspired. It’s a great haiku!

Here is my anti-haiku haiku:

Haikus are stupid
Ask any seventh grader.
Stupid and boring.

& I’ll make one up in the spirit of zombies.

Slumping through the house
Putrescent bathrobe shun
my zombie mother.

When my oldest was 9 (about 3 yrs back), he wrote and illustrated the following for school:
Zombie dogs roam Earth.
This is not “Cycle of Life.”
Everything is wrong.

Sure, some folks have complained about the meter of the last line, but we put it on the ‘fridge nonetheless.
