I worked on "Andromeda", created by the Star Trek folk. They told me to look closely at the door id's as they walk through the corridors. Some of them are annotated, "GNDN". It stands for "Goes Nowhere. Does Nothing.", basically saying it's just a set-piece and non-functional. Funny how these plates co-opted that part.
