My big problem with NANO is it encourages sloppy, overly long and droning writing.

You're better off writing 30,000 good words than 50,000 mediocre ones.

I haven't bothered this year. Though I did Script Frenzy last year, and wrote my 25000 word screenplay in three days.

I'm flying this year. Crossed 42,500 this morning. At this rate, I'll be done Thursday. My record is 25 days, so I'm definitely destroying it this year.

22,000 isn't too bad, better than I had at this point last year!

I Hit 28996 last night. so I'm keeping a day and a bit worth of words as a buffer for the inevitable bad days I am likely to hit this week.

Good luck, ya'll--this is my first time doing this. I kinda feel like a real slacker because I'm only at about half of what you all have written. However, I decided that even if I miss the deadline I'm going to keep writing the novel.

Time to caffeinate myself a bit more.

Ohhh I'm struggling. I'm at 22,000 as well and realllllllly need to catch up before Thursday (gigantic trip full of laziness to be had).

Good luck catching up!! I expect a lot of coffee machines to be working over time this next week.
