Blood-spattered Dining Room

Posted by Miss Cellania in Home & Garden on November 14, 2008 at 10:46 am

Designer Amy Lau was inspired by the serial killer show on Showtime when she came up with these Dexter dining room chairs. The chairs are decorated with embroidered blood spatters. There are also bloody dinner plates and flatware to match. But hurry and buy yours, these are limited edition items. Link -via J-Walk Blog

This is in the poorest of taste. Shame on you for thinking this is cute or funny. I am now a former Neatorama visitor.

First off, if this one post is going to make you leave this site, then you sir are no neato-aficionado!

Cool concept and all, but who the hell would buy this. It's really just kind of gross. Can you imagine walking into someone's living room and seeing this? Creepy

Really? To the commenter above I just have to say - come on. Seriously... come on.

Really? Really? Are you serious? I mean, come on ... really?

I love the diversity of Neatorama. Anyway ... there have been far more macabre posts than this one. If this post scares you off, you should have jumped ship in 2005.

This is part of the Showtime House in Gramercy Park. Pretty cool in context of the show it was modeled after(Dexter) and the network's promotional campaign

Gosh, I have bloodstains all over my furniture and I didn't have to pay any extra for them. Anybody know where I can hide a knife? And some former dinner guests?

I think it is sad that some people become Desynthezied
to sell Art or Design Now Amy Lau has gotten a lot of publicity. Desynthezied people will think this is Cool!.Amy Lau she wants to make a name for herself and Neatorama surely did that for her, I love Neatorama I don't think Alex would not have that kind of design in his household. Explaining blood spatters. Some people have been through the Trauma of murder and suicide and cleaning up the blood spatters, this designer is an insult to loved ones. To Victims of crime.

That will go nicely with the bloody white living room in the old Jamiroquai music video:

i think its a pretty interesting idea, but 100% depends on the person. I've got a friend who is absolutely in love with zombies, horror movies, etc, and this would suit her perfectly. a little too pricey, but awesome nonetheless
