This adorable wooden figure is Mama Fratelli, from The Goonies. The figure was created by Israel Sanchez for a charity auction to provide materials for classrooms. You can bid on the figure (and several other items) here. There’s also going to be a free showing of Goonies and a raffle in Pasadena this Saturday.

True fact: I’ve never watched the Goonies…ever.

My dad took me to Goonies. As I think of that today, I must of really wanted to see that show b/c that’s just not the type of show my dad would have let us kids see.

I never saw this flick (I think was too old by the time it came out to really “get it”) but this figurine is adorable and would probably have meaning to a lot of folks with a connection to the movie.

Hi! This is Israel , the guy who painted the figure, just writing to say the screening went great. It was so cool seeing it on the big screen, I highly recommend seeing the movie if you haven’t, and remember, Goonies never say die!
