How to Make a Rockerless Rocker

Apparently, you can make a rockerless rocker - all you need are two metal strips, wheels, a little Yankee ingenuity and Gandhi. Found at the always-entertaining Modern Mechanix.


I'd use a couple of springs from a car. Either one coil spring and just place it under the back or a pair of strips from a leaf-spring running backwards from the front leg.

Er, uhm, don't mean to pick, but...
Rockers are just arcs connecting the front & back legs on each side, so, well... Aren't the two front legs' feet really just very, very small rockers?
Er, semi-rockers?
