I think “Maru” means “circle” in Japanese. The name is often used for fishing vessels.

Do a little research people before sounding moronic in your comments. Not all Scottish Folds have the folded ears. It’s a genetic deformity that SOMETIMES causes the ears to fold. SF’s are known for their wide faces and big round eyes and overall gentle nature.

Not all scottish fold ears go down. Sometimes their ears don’t, sometimes they do.

Doesn’t matter either way though, that cat is frackin adorable!

Definitely not a Scottish Fold. I think he would be cuter if he was, but that would take away some of the charm of him being a “normal” cat doing these things.

I’m no cat nerd, but that cat’s not a scottish fold. Scottish folds are named so because it looks like someone stapled the ears to their head.
