Skippy the Bush Kangaroo

Move over, Lassie – here’s Skippy The Bush Kangaroo (from a popular Australian
TV series back in the late 60s).

Is there anything Skippy can’t do? Link [Embedded YouTube Link]

Yes, Skippy was parodied by British comedy show Goodness Gracous Me as Skipinder the Punjabi Kangaroo [YouTube Link, a little NSFW language].

I remember watching this but I didn't remember it was so stupid... Was he really playing piano?? And hiding jewelry in his pocket... yeah right!

I used to watch this on the CBS affiliate in western Kansas when I was a kid (late '60s, early '70s). When the affiliate stopped running "Skippy," I was angry and heartbroken. Still, I don't know that I'll look at it again; some memories deserve to remain good ones.

Oh wow. Blast from the past. When I was a kid they used to show this on TV. It had the catchiest show tune ever.

The annoying kid from Skippy used to live a few doors down from a friend of mine in Melbourne.

He looks the same but inflated and with a beard.
