Red ones are mighty tasty. Grey, I just couldn’t get past the nastiness of the texture or the oiliness.

In Maine you can’t get anyone to eat grey.

Squirrel is good eat’n. Just takes so many to make a decent meal. And they must get big in the UK wish they got that big here.

It’s illegal to eat Squirrel in Canada? WHY? They breed faster than rabbits around here.

that is a pretty darn big squirrel – and alot of meat – I’m not sold -
also, Squirrels have had to be eradicated in some places as they can carry the bubonic plague (I think Denver had to once shoot all their squirrels in the park?) – does cooking kill the disease?

That’s pretty big for an Eastern Grey squirrel. Usually you need to go to the Fox Squirrels to get that much meat.

As an invasive species, I’d say the Eastern Greys are “ripe for picking” in the U.K.
