Scotchdrnkr, I agree. In cases like that, there may have been a crime committed, but it does not make an 18-year-old a “sexual predator”. He should pay for the crime, then go on with his life.

We also tend to throw the word “pedophile” around incorrectly. An adult who is attracted to teenagers is not a pedophile. Teenagers are physically adults, even though it is illegal to initiate sex with them. Pedophilia is a psychological condition in which a person is sexually attracted to children, i.e. those who have not gone through puberty. The law should make a distinction.

Oh BTW we have a listed sexual predator living 2 doors down from us.
He was convicted as a teen of a sexual crime he has 18 she was consenting but 16 and will forever be listed as one. Her parents had him arrested.
Not all sexual predators deserve their label.

I think I am glad that I don’t get it.

BTW did you know this is the first year that sexual predators are required to put special pumpkin decals up on their homes to warn kids off. I saw it on another site. It’s a pumpkin with the words on it saying that this house has no candy.
