you know- that little boy cant help his size. he has a kidney disease and the steroids he has to take for it made him chubby. he cant help it. he was born with that disease. i honestly dont know how you people could be so heartless. no- its not his parents fault that he is chubby.

YOU ALL ARE STUPID. he is not chubby, obese, fat, nor has he eaten too many cupcakes. This adorable 9 year old boy has a kidney disease which could kill him. The steroids that he is using causes his growth to be stunted however he weighs what an average 9 year old should weigh. Everyone that made those rude comments... GROW UP.

The kid's name is Sam and hes 9 last time i checked he has a medical problem that makes his body attack his kidney the steroids he takes make him get to live but at the cost of being overweight and he is average weight for a 9 year old hes just really short which makes him look really fat 90% of the kids who have this disease need the steroids to live all the people making fun of him actually learn before saying hes fat go to youtube and you'll find him on a doctor show

He has severe kidney issues and some other kind of medical issues. I cant remember all the problems he has. When this was recorded he was on a bunch of steroids.

Wow, a lot of over-reaction: "educate the violent"? Look, the kid is singing "you're my cupcake, honeybun..." Maybe if he was singing a non-food-related song, it wouldn't lend to the impression that this kid got fat from overeating. As I said, it was cute, but the kid is grossly obese, and putting this on YouTube invites criticism. It's like they're flaunting his obesity. That's odd.

I don't think sick children (be they morbidly obese or afflicted with some other ailment) should be exploited by their fame-seeking parents. I am more disgusted by that than commenters expressing dismay about this child's disturbing appearance.

Those big red cheeks (and general fatness) are a side effect of anti-rejection drugs for transplant patients.

Definitely not regular weight gain though. Blindingly obvious on that note.

i found this info online about this lil boy! i think people should be ashamed of themselves making fun of a innocent lil boy, regardless if he has medical issues or not! he is just a lil boy!

At only 10 years old, Job McCully is an inspiration to his small town, surviving leukemia, a bone marrow and double lung transplant. After years spent in and out of the hospital Job was finally able to go home in March. However, because of his health, the family wasn't able to return to their sinking, moldy and dilapidated home. Ty and the team help bring the house up to code so Job and his family will be able to return home.

Just wanted to comment again. Some people take things at face value and don't do a ton of research before making a simple comment on an internet message board. Give me a break! Obese children are NOT healthy! Making fun of them is not right either but to ignorantly look the other way is just as wrong.

Personally, I didn't think the song was cute at all. I didn't do research on this child. All I saw was a morbidly obese child lipsynching to a song comparing someone he cares about to sugary junk food. Honestly I don't care if medications are making him reach this unhealthy weight. Obesity causes death in children. PERIOD.

I apoligize moderator Alex for my lengthy post. I just wanted to weigh in on the people that are shocked at this child's size.

This isn't fake. It looks like the kid is on a form of steroids, and making a broad guess based upon his hair, perhaps it is a treatment associated with cancer. Unfortunately, I have seen this repeatedly first hand.
