We trimmed/cut down that tree and every other tree that was forked so as to not lose any more animals and continue when ever we have one growing that way. It's sad that in this day of sooooo much information available "literally at 'our' fingertips" so many people prefer to make unknowleged comments. This one article may have saved many other horses and cows from the same fate. Don't just complain, stop and see what you can do to help! As horse owners that have lost a horse that got it's head caught in a forked tree we know how sad it is and how very lucky this beautiful creature and it's owner were that another came along and helped.
