Maybe it's silly but somehow the idea they can live so long makes me feel particularly bad about the way they are treated. ironically I have no problem with eating them myself although I havent eaten them in years - I used to work on a boat for a while fishing for (eureopean) lobster and crayfish, not sure would I do it now in spite of loving being on the water ... kind of sad really
