Flying Fox Gives Birth

The grey-headed flying fox {wiki} is born while its mother hangs upside down! It seems counterproductive, but the I suppose the bat mother knows what she’s doing. This was recorded at the Royalk BATanical Gardens last Sunday. -via Arbroath

I am a bat-lover, and this was amazing to watch. Flying foxes are perhaps the cutest bats.

Oddly enough, I felt sorry for her watching this. I could tell she was in pain. The video is edited down to only 2.5 minutes, I wonder how long it REALLY took!
