I remember seeing one of those Flipfolds used at a store and being vaguely... well, excited to see how they got all their display shirts so neatly and perfectly folded.
That said, beyond preventing wrinkles, there's not any reason to be so exacting with one's shirts at home.

That Japanese method is awesome.
After watching the Japanese video I've been using that method as well. So much easier to pack a suitcase as well with that method.
