I recently got one of these for my boyfriend for our anniversary. We met on International Talk Like a Pirate Day, so it seemed especially appropriate. We read bits of it out loud to each other and howled with laughter. They have a few other types of books, too.

I have enough trouble promoting my work without this. Jeez. I think I’ll just give up.

Seriously though, a good idea. A friend of mine was thinking of doing something similar for kids on holiday Benidorm.

Hysterical! I just ordered one for my best friend for Christmas. I piqued her curiosity when I e-mailed her asking what color were her husband’s eyes and how to spell her cat’s name. We’re not into romance novels, but we love books and I thought this would be a great personalized keepsake.

I also visited the children’s book section and bought one for my nephew. I’m hoping if the book is about him, it will increase his interest in reading. Thanks for posting this!

This is kinda similar to my new website, where a community write a romance novel. But we make fun of them, so I’m happy either way.
