I’ve worked on elevators for over 30 years. The elevator hack is bunk. If it honestly seemed to work, it was a coincidence. Door and car call controls are separate from hall calls. There are key switches that can put the car on express. In that mode, you must press and hold the door and/or call button.

On the site for the Elevator/Lift hack someone said they’d tried it twice and it worked a treat.

This would have been so useful when I worked at the 11th floor.

I will have to try this some time.

It is quite like the old safe hack, where a lot of people never re set the factory default safe combination.

I'm skeptical of the elevator hack, but will have to try that later this afternoon...that would be awesome if it works! A similar site that produces most of their own high-quality videos is MonkeySee.com. They have close to 10K (according to their site) how to videos, so it's definitely another good resource.
