The Dot Matrix Revolution

DOT MATRIX REVOLUTION* from superbrothers on Vimeo.

Here’s a really neat video all about the history of computing. Usually, one would be hard pressed to compact all that information into a simple little lecture but amazingly the “Superbrothers” have managed to squish it into a four minute video. Add to this the cool geeky music of Jim Guthrie and two dancing pixelated scientists and we end up with something you can dance and learn to. “Schoolhouse Rock!“…eat your heart out.

Boy, when they compact information, they really compact information. I was hard-pressed to find any information at all.

And I really hope that was the dot matrix guy’s tie at 2:05, and not his penis.

in no way was that a history of computers. it was just pixel standing / dancing with a few words to imply time passing.

Meh, kind of a timeline sort of thing. It’s okay, but it’s a bit much to say it’s a history of sorts. Music was catchy, though.

Terrible. I think School House Rock can rest easy.
