Never Been a Cheerleader: Mom Stole Daughter's ID and Went Back to High School

Do you ever wish to go back to high school and have a "do over"? Well that’s exactly what Wendy Brown did:

A 33-year-old woman was charged with stealing her daughter’s identity to attend high school and join the cheerleading team.

Wendy Brown, of Green Bay, was charged with felony identity theft after enrolling in Ashwaubenon High School as her daughter, who lives in Nevada with Brown’s mother.

The criminal complaint said Brown admitted to telling school officials she was 15 because she wanted to get her high school diploma and join the cheerleading squad.

She allegedly attended practices, received a cheerleader’s locker and went to a pool party at the cheerleading coach’s house.

Hey, if Drew Barrymore did it (in the 1999 Never Been Kissed movie), so could she! Link

It is funny if it was a bet.
It is sad if she really meant it.

If she actually sat in a classroom, how observant were her teachers??

She totally stole the idea from Buffy but couldn't figure out the whole body switching thing.

What a classic story. I would hope that acquiring an education becomes an endeavor that is on the front burner for this woman.

Jail for 10 years? I think that's a bit harsh if that happens. Let her go to high school. Hey she did actually make the team. Yeah, fine her and maybe some community service. That's my opinion.

That's quite possibly one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. How could an entire school not recognize the difference between a 15 year old girl and her 33 year old mother?!

How the zebra did she manage to pull that off?

Some girls can probably manage it - my girlfriend's 27, and I've seen her highschool photos, she looks like she hasn't aged at all.

    But that sheila there...

15 ? She doesn't even look close to that age... And trying out as a cheerleader ? I'm thinking she should consider doing ads for Bratwurst or Milwaukee's Best, as she looks the part for that (not cheerleading)...

I'm thinking that unless that coach is a woman, this school's got bigger problems than Sheila.
A "pool party at the cheerleading coach's house", huh? Sly bastard.
