Betty White (left), for instance, did a Fantastik Disinfectant cleaner; Bea Arthur starred in Mame with Lucille Ball; Rue McClanahan did a risque striptease in Hollywood After Dark in 1968.

And oddly enough, Estelle Getty (who was the oldest character) was actually the next to youngest actress on the show. I always thought that this was an interesting gact.

Even though Rue McClanahan is all young in that clip, in my mind it’s like the “Golden Girls” version of her doing that dance… I feel conflicted. I need to wash my eyes. Or take a shower. Or cry a little.
