Hot or not? An Italian priest invites readers to decide:

An Italian priest says he is organising the world’s first beauty pageant for nuns to erase a stereotype of them as being old and dour.

Antonio Rungi says The Miss Sister Italy online contest will start on his blog in September.

“Nuns are above all women and beauty is a gift from God,” he told Italy’s Corriere della Sera newspaper.

    Weird 'problem' to tackle: 'our women are so too nice to look at'. But it's the Catholic Church..I don't expect them to do much else with their women coughletthembepriestscough.

    Gee, thank heavens this priest is spending his time demonstrating that nuns can be pretty, how else could they possibly expect to have any sort of value? =P Lucky thing all the disease and hatred and poverty has been solved so he can focus on this vital matter ...
