I agree with everyone condemning the whiners. Don't be such babies, move on. The world is not full of nice things and if you happen to get a handful of them anywhere, be thankful.

On the otherhand, I think E is right, it sounds like they ripped off the article from Elephants on Acid.

But the hell if I'm going to get all pissed off b/c it was posted.
I mean seriously.. WTH did you expect to see and read about when you clicked on the link after reading the little bit that was posted?
"Hmm.. this guy attached a puppies head to a grown dog! YEAH! Let's click on the link b/c I'm SURE there isn't gonna be anything worse than that!"

Jeezus, is there any post no one finds offensive?

I doubt the authenticity of those dog transplants. That dog head looks so staged and fake, a truly headless dog I would think wouldn't lick its lips and act as alive as the one in the video. At most it might twitch here and there, not act as lifelike as the one in the video. Notice no actual shots of the head by itself, nothing conclusive that it is truly a dog head.

Same with the small dog on the big dog. It was probably 'attached' somehow to the upper body of the dog, a fully live and healthy dog by itself.

Both look fake to me. Even today a head transplant is technologically and medically on the level of trying to find a needle in a hay field. What makes anyone think they had the technology and know how back then to do this?

Ugh That also gave me a sickened, sad feeling. well...thats going to take a while to go away. :(

I'll probably have a mental image of the bodyless dog head pop up occasionally for whatever reason, for the next few years if not longer. thanx for the trauma, Neatorama.

I guess I'm the only one to see X-Files, I Want To Believe.

They had Russian scientists doing mad transplants, and had two-headed dogs as guard dogs.

At one point, Scully finds that picture and it's what cracks the case.

Ew. I was just trying to figure out how the puppy could live, not having a back half and all. But it sounds like none of these poor creatures lived very long due to tissue rejection.

Wow, thats the worst form of animal cruelty I have ever seen. I really can't think of anything more horrible that I have seen in a very very long time. It gave me that "oh I feel sick" feeling - not what I want when I go to neatorama - not neat at all!

I agree with Powell. I do NOT come to this site to read about how people abuse animals. There have been articles in the past that disturbed me, but never to the extent of this one. I am thoroughly disgusted, and feel I have wasted my time visiting Neatorama today.
