Might as well get the obligatory “It’s a trap!” comment out of the way quickly…

That was the weirdest wedding I’ve ever seen.

I hope there is room in Admiral Ackbar’s parents’ basement for his new wife

I’d cover my head, too, if I were in that wedding party.

I had a rebel alliance groom cake and we played the medal ceremony song coming down the isle. This makes me feel like I half assed it.

    Good for them.

Wow, that really is the best Star Wars-themed wedding ever. I was expecting crap, but it’s amazing how many people they got to dress up in costume - even the grandparents, kids, et cetera!

My instinct to call this the nerdiest wedding ever is completely overridden by how well they pulled it off. Must have taken a ton of effort.

And if you can’t appreciate the effort, at least appreciate the fact that this guy got his future wife to:

    1) Dress up as every-man’s-dream Princess Leia (lest someone try to say this is just a geeks dream, don’t forget they did an entire episode of “Friends” on it, and they were supposedly the coolest people in the world for like, 10 years)…

    2) in public…

    3) in front of her friends and family…

    3) at her freaking *wedding*, which she’s likely been planning since a very young age.

    Utterly amazing.

Y’know, I love it when people don’t take their own weddings too seriously, but there has got to be a limit ;-)

    Nice wedding!!!
I think the best one I have ever seen though was at GenCon in Indianapolis a couple years ago. Just as the preacher said “is there anyone here who objects to this couple being joined in marriage”……someone dressed as Bobba Fett came out and said I do. When he took off the helmet, it was Jeremy Bulloch! LOL LOL LOL Very funny!!

I say good job. It looks like everyone had a great time and fond memories. Minus points for wearing a mask at the “altar” tho.

“stupid cliche comments” - Sure its cliche, but man take a joke. Im not as nerdcore as this lot but I’ll own up to my own nerdome.

I remember a Star Wars wedding where someone came forward to object and was swiftly dealt with by the Jedi groomsmen.

I agree this is a bit weird, I bet George Lucas was at the side with a stall selling a multitude of Star Wars goods, he’s like that, squeezing all the money he can from the Star Wars Legacy. The mans an arse.

    @Jean: Haha, that’s fantastic.

I stumbled upon these pictures a few days ago and fell in love. The cake is so awesome. And yes, the people on the left are TIE Fighters.
