Neatorama reader Belinda McArtney sent us this photo of her apprentice groundskeeper boyfriend and his friends’ attempt to win a New Zealand radio station’s contest "Show us your batman!" where the biggest, most visible, and original fan-made bat-sign wins.

No, they didn’t win, but I thought the huge bat on a training field in Grenada North, drawn with softball marking paint was pretty neat (if you’re on a flight to and from Wellington, chances are you’ve seen the sign while flying overhead) : Link [Flickr photoset]

Here are the gallery of entries of The Rock radio station’s contest: Link (don’t miss the Bat scarification!) – Thanks Belinda!

The last batman’s movie deserves a tribute.

Obviously this is an evolution of crop circles to some sort of new message.
