After a few years of leading the world and receiving free rent, some ex-presidents and prime ministers go on to other, more lucrative careers. Harry Truman only had his $112 a month army pension when he left office, so he rolled up his sleeves and went to work writing his memoirs. He was still in such poor financial straits that he became the first recipient of a presidential pension.     I don’t see how book deals and speaking engagements count as “coruption” (that’s not how you spell it, either).

    I know that a lot of ex-presidents, vice-presidents, and PM’s all do conferences where they end up being noted guest speakers. That’s how they make money these days. That and book deals.

    As much as we think our presidents are corrupt..other countries let their leaders get away with tons of illegal crap..there’s a bunch of b/millionaire leaders around the world.

    YEAH thats what i ment their all corrupt the only exception is that in the U.S, poeple r So postto hold their presidents responsible if they do something wrong yet they dont :/

    I could go on but im at work so blaahhhhhhh………..
