    I would say it is a great artistic statement on our fascination with the NEW and IMPROVED. The Bates 5000 comes to mind.

    It’s nice to see the infamous American trend of wastefulness in the name of entertainment is still alive and well despite the rapidly plummeting dollar.

    heather - one, get over yourself, seriously, and two, it doesn’t occur to you that they swapped iPhones before he started the blender? They could have easily moved in a defunct iPhone that could not be refurbed.

    A waste? hunh? Seems like some amazingly smart marketing using a prop worth a paltry couple hundred or so. His personal iphone is in his back pocket.
