Research like this is a total waste of money??? They will learn the feasibility and cost of capturing cow farts and the amounts of methane released. Sounds like if X < Y they profit and reduce emissions.

Research like this is a total waste of money. Methane Hydrate released from the ocean floor each year is greater than all mammals release in 10 years.

Rather than try to reduce the output, couldn't they put the collected gas to good use - it's flammable - would make a renewable fuel.
