    this is awesome! although, one has to wonder if one of the tethers breaks who will be the first swimmer to seriously freak out when it brushes against them?

    This is definitely neato-rama. There are all kinds of potential ways to harness ocean energy (waves, wind, tides, thermal gradients), but that’s one I hadn’t heard of.
