I wouldn't live in Miami again, honestly, but that doesn't take away the fond memories I have of the place, and the food. Now not only do I want a roach coach dog, but I'm hankering for a frita from Morro Castle on 12th Ave. in Hialeah.

Totally. When I was in high school, I would run to the roach coach for one of those every day at lunch time so that I could be first in line.

I know I can't recreate it, but I am going to try. Your post just took me back to the old days.

This made me almost homesick for the USA. Our local grocery store here in England has hot dogs... in jars. They look like something you would see in a laboratory.

Ok, they look fantastic and compared to the really sad and really bad hotdogs we get at the MCG (footy arena in Vic, Oz) then these are works of art and look very tasty.

Please think of the cholesterol!

I am tempted to send Neatorama a fode of an AFL approved hotdog. It will be proof that in terms of hotdogs Yanq's do indeed live in the greatest country in the world.

I'm from Rochester, NY, and as soon as I saw a hot-dog I knew Zweigle's would be featured. The picture doesn't do the white hots justice. Look it up on google or something. They're a weird looking hot-dog; it looks like it's about to pass out. But man they're awesome. I just don't advise working at the factory, my friend did and now he's sick of the smell.

I recognized those hot dogs, then I noticed those green white and red seats in the back: Those hot dogs are from Guero Canelos in Tucson, about a block from my house!

The dogs in Yuma Az are better though. You have to have lime on those

The sonorans look like the greasy but tasty dogs the street vendors sell near California night clubs.

Just saw a show about this famous New Jersey place where they sell hot dogs fried.

Love hot dogs, can eat them everyday, my personal fave is Costco dog and soda for only buck fifty.

The best hot dog I have ever had was at a little deli place near a train station a little ways outside Athens. It was a footlong with a snappy casing, wrapped in some grilled pita with potato salad, fries, lettuce and tzatziki sauce. I pine for that dog.
