Bobo?
Seriously... Bobo?

Interesting how someone assumed the family is living in a "poor, (black) neighbourhood". Maybe it's not so bad there. All types of neighbourhoods are foreclosed on these days.

Although I doubt the foreclosure was racially motivated, it's entirely possible that the compensation is less forthcoming due to the financial worth of the victims.

Yeah, no court order? How is that not being criminally prosecuted? Either the reclamation company or JP Morgan or both decided to break the law. Anthony has a point..I'm sure this happens all the time under the radar and in 'less desirable' areas.

JP Morgan is a bunch of evil bastards. It took them almost five years to settle my mom's estate. I truly grew to hate them over that time.

that's weird. we sold our house back in november and up until may we kept getting notices that chase was going to take our house. bureaucracy would be nice if everyone did something instead of pushing work onto "another department"

PRAD, I'm sure JPMorgan has given them an offer, or is going to give them one shortly. However, I'm also pretty sure the Dickson's aren't retarded, so they'll go forward with a civil suit to both punish JPMorgan and try to squeeze as much money out as possible.

It's what I would do.

It is sad that the family has to file suit....

In a more ethical world - JPMorgan would have made a reasonable offer on its own accord out of empathy for their ordeal....

To think what those two young kids had to go through with no bed to sleep in or even lights in the house

Normally I find myself on the opposite side of this discussion. I find people are pretty quick to pull the race card when it doesn't apply.

But, seriously, come on.

"Ordinarily, when personal possessions are left in a foreclosed home a court order is needed to remove the items and the owners are given the opportunity to reclaim them within 24 hours. JPMorgan Chase says its not sure if there was a court order in this case."

Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe JPMorgan wasn't just walking all over a household in a poor (black) neighborhood. Maybe they decided to ransack a house without a court order in an upper class white neighborhood that a rich black family had just coincidentally moved into.

Either way, they deserve to get sued for racism for the former or stupidity for the latter.

They sure as hell better make it right.
That's totally screwed up that that happened.
And I hope that the guy who was trying to avoid that foreclosure showing up on his credit gets it all worked out as well b/c that shouldn't have gone through either since the home sold before it was supposed to.
I really hope this family gets back all of their possessions or at least gets a nice big check to get new stuff.

That's insane! But despite Anthony's (sarcastic?) comment, I'm sure JP Morgan will make it right. They don't need this kind of publicity.
