I am sick and tired of all the cats on neatorama.

Definitely not for the squeemish. I’m glad that someone loves and takes care of that cat.

Can anybody be more cruel to this cat than
to leave it disfigured and not be able to
enjoy a good quality of life.

    Put the poor thing down.

Sometimes people do this to feel better
about themselves - that cat has got to be
    in great distress.

Alf - what part of “no pain” don’t you understand? The cat is perfectly healthy, though deeply unattractive. I think that reflects a disability in the people who would rather kill a healthy creature than look at it.

Keep the cat stories coming, they build character.

Whatever, kid_icarus, you just love neatorama because of your free shirt!

And I know someone already commented on Alf’s comment, but seriously, dude. It’s not in pain, it’s just disfigured. I know a man who had most of the skin on his face burned off when he was a firefighter. He looks a lot like the cat does actually, and he’s a nice man. He’s not in pain. The only pain he feels really is how he’s treated outside of his home, so he doesn’t get out much. He is really shocking to see, but he’s in good health.

There’s a huge differeance between a human and a cat - so lets not compare a human life to that of cat.

    Lydia
Health is relative - can it see/eat/hear/taste/walk/meow/etc just like another cat?

It could have been left alone and have nature take its course - maybe this cat was an being selected out when he got hit by a car?

There are a thousand different cats about similar to this one (before the accident) - many cats could have been rescued from a shelter with the time/effort/money this cat has taken.

Stupid owner who talk on behalf of their pets on a stupid blog. Most of these people fall under the category of the stupid self proclaimed ‘cultured’ liberal douche who know what’s best for others but are in reality, ignorant and self-serving on the social table among many other things. They should all drop dead. As for all the others on the political scale, well, they’re just as stupid anyway you cut it. They can drop dead as well.

    Jsahko,

I didn’t say anything about dogs. I’m just tired of a cat being posted everyday. This is not neatcatorama.

Good gawd, it’s the zombie cat!

Ok, so maybe he looks ridiculous but if he’s not suffering, I say let him live. He probably doesn’t even remember the accident, let alone realize anything’s wrong.

I had a cockatiel once that lost part of his beak. Some people urged me to have him put down, but, again, he wasn’t suffering. He could eat, drink, play with toys and do the regular bird routine. I doubt he spent any time dwelling on how his wonky beak looked.

As long as the cat’s healthy what’s the problem? The dumb cat’s pov blog should be halted though.

Alf, so you would like to kill a happy & healthy animal that has a wonderul life & experiences no pain because why? Does that cat’s existence offend you or harm you in some way?

To certain others: if you don’t want to read it, then just don’t read it. Some things that other people do may seem stupid to you, like blogging about a pet. So what? I can absolutely guarantee that you do or say things that other people think are stupid.

I, for one, really appreciated this post. Thank you Neatorama.

Geez, didn’t you hear the cat? He says he’s not in pain. I believe him, man. I believe him.

I appreciated this story. And I’m with those who think if you don’t like a certain story, skip it. Lots of days there’s one story out of several that doesn’t interest me, so I skim it and move on. How hard is that?

I think it’s cool that she’s a therapy cat for people with disfiguring disabilities. I found her a little hard to get used to looking at, but found it a heartwarming story. But I’m a bit biased as I love cats. *shrug*

Heartbreaking story. The cats still takes medication, so it’s not living a completely “normal” cat life.

Admirable that they’re taking care of it, but you have to wonder why they saved it during the period after the accident.

As for being a therapy cat, that’s kinda twisted. “Sorry you’re hideously ugly, but here’s a cat that’s uglier, and he’s fine.”

I’m not against the blog - unless they start debating the merits of Fox News.
