I think dogs smile as they mimic us. Makes sense to me and my dog smiles a lot when she’s happy, such as the whole family out for a walk etc.

Surely this should be on http://www.cuteoverload.com instead? There’s a little dog at http://www.hongkongdogrescue.com.hk called Antoinette who really looks like she is smiling. I know she is really happy as she is always wagging her tail and coming up for a cuddle. This is great, as when she was first abandoned she was miserable (who wouldn’t be).
