Optical Illusion Dinosaur

Posted by Alex in Video Clips on June 18, 2008 at 1:08 pm

We posted the 10 Optical Illusions in 2 minutes viral ad for Samsung Soul cell phone a while ago – the first optical illusion (the dinosaur) was so popular that Claudio Branno and the rest of the ad team decided to bring him out for a tour around England.

I can’t get enough how "Dino" turns his head to look straightatcha! Hit play or go to Link [YouTube] – Thanks Claudio!

You can download a pdf w/instructions for a smaller cut out. I have no skills, and I got it to work.

I have one of the smaller versions sitting on my desk, which I printed out after seeing the effect on video. It is a neat effect, but not as spectacular as it seems to be when captured with a single-lens camera (you have to squint just right to trick your brain). I think most of those people are not marveling at the illusion, but trying to figure out what the dinosaur is all about.
