Thief Ran to Police Station to Remove Handcuffs After Being Arrested

Bad idea: Burgling a supermarket
Really bad idea: Getting caught … then escaping while still handcuffed
Neatorama-worthy: Running to a police station to get the cuffs removed!

A security guard cuffed the man to a railing after thwarting a late night supermarket break-in. By the time officers came and arrested his accomplices, he had somehow escaped, police said.

Shortly afterwards, the 19-year-old reappeared at the nearby police station, where he told officers he had been locked up by a friend as a joke, and asked for help removing the cuffs.

The officers at first went along with the ruse, "also laughing at the man’s apparent misfortune," police said. But having already heard about the missing man at the break-in, they then dropped their light-hearted facade and demanded the truth.

Bad idea: Making a post for the sake of making a post.
Really bad idea: Relying on other websites for your post ideas.
Neatorama-worthy: Lifting your schtick directly from fark.com
